This leisurely, sunny, winter walking tour leading from Siusi/Seis to Castelrotto/Kastelruth boasts beautiful views over the villages at the foot of the Schlern, the picturesque S. Valentino/St. Valentine chapel and the imposing Schlern massif with the Santner peak.
The set-off point for this short walk is Siusi village centre. Take path no. 7 towards San Valentino and, after a short stop-off at the cultural treasure of the San Valentino church, follow the trail a cross the Alpe di Siusi road, past the erstwhile graveyard from the days of the plague and on to the shrine of the Madonna and the signpost for trail no. 6. Head onwards to the “Scherer Platzl” rest-stop and over the snow-blanketed meadows back to Castelrotto.
