This alternative route has it all: The access trail to the Rifugio Alpe di Tires gives you the chance to extend the Val Duron tour, and leads to this breathtaking mountain hut amidst the rock formations of the Denti di Terrarossa and the Catinaccio d'Antermoia.
Undoubtedly, the hardest stretch of mountain bike routes on the Seiser Alm is the Rifugio Alpe di Tires variant of the Alpe di Susi hut tour. As an add-on to the Val Duron route, this stretch is suitable only for true fighters and pros. Head up the steep, partially-unsurfaced trail to the Alpe di Tires (2,440 m) and down again. At the top, at the foot of the Denti di Terrarossa, the views of the Sasso Piatto and the Sasso Lungo are indescribably beautiful, as are the Sella Group to the north and the opening to the Val Ciamin to the south.
