This bike tour follows the trackbed of the former Fleimstalbahn railway, which was built during the First World War, serving primarily to transport goods until 1936. It began in Ora/Auer and ran to the town of Predazzo. The stretch from Ora to San Lugano is still in good condition and is easy to ride. The bike tour leads through the beautiful mountain landscape of the Trudner Horn Nature Park and is especially worthwhile due to the views of the South Tyrolean Unterland region.
Route: The tour begins in Ora across from the Castelfeder snack bar right next to the cycle path between Ora and Egna/Neumarkt. The new bike trail is well built and leads through the Castelfeder biotope. Continue on Castelfederstraße street towards Pinzano/Pinzon. Follow Pinzonerstraße street until just before the village of Montagna/Montan. Then turn right on the Vecchia ferrovia trail. The trail leads from here on the old railway line to Fontanefredde/Kaltenbrunn and San Lugano.
