This valley loop-tour links the villages of Castelrotto/Kastelruth, Siusi/Seis and Fiè allo Sciliar/ Völs am Schlern in a variety-packed, challenging circular tour.
The tour begins in Castelrotto village centre and leads you towards San Valentino/ St. Valentin, downhill towards Siusi and, parallel to the main road, past San Costantino/ St. Konstantin and San Antonio/St. Anton and on to Fiè allo Sciliar. Take the same route back to San Antonio, where the road branches off towards Novale di Fiè/Völser Ried. Then cycle on through the peaceful Novale di Fiè until just before San Costantino, where a side road will take you to the Laghetto di San Costantino Lake.
The route loops around the lake and leads on past the Fallhof farm to San Vigilio/St. Vigil. Technique bikers will be in their element on these narrow trails and short, but extremely steep, downhills. The following stretch leads uphill, on to the Malenger Mill and past the Maso Furscher Hof farm to Siusi. The trail follows the main road to Castelrotto for a brief stretch, but turns off towards the Laranza/Laranz Wood after a short distance. You then head past the Telfen sports centre, along the Viale Misalt/Misaltweg path and back to Castelrotto. During the final part, there is a short stretch where you will have to dismount and push.
