The Naturnser Hochwart belongs to a large number of peaks that bear the name Hochwart.
They are all magnificent panoramic mountains that do not always impress with their height, but with their dominance or the height of their embrasures.
The view of the Ötztal Alps in the north, the entire Vinschgau Valley, the Ulten Valley and the Dolomites in the southeast is overwhelming.
The summit hike to the "Naturnser Hochwart" can be combined with a beautiful alpine pasture hike.

From Aschbach you hike along the paths 28 and 27 to the Naturnser Alm (1.5 h); from there, continue along trail 9B and 9 to the Naturnser Hochjoch and finally to the Naturnser Hochwart.
There you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over almost all of South Tyrol. This tour can only be undertaken on a day with good weather conditions. Good walking conditions are needed.
Return journey on the same paths or alternatively on path 9 past the Staffels Alm (1875m) to the Vigiljoch, turn left and descend to Aschbach on path 28.

From Merano:
the street "Vinschgauer Staatsstraße" in the direction Naturns.
Next to the place Töll and shortly before Rabland,
turn left and follow the signs to Aschbach/cable car.
The cable car is next to the Vinschgau train railway station of Rabland.
